What Block Hop stores on your device, what its ad partner collects, and the choices you have.
Block Hop is a tap-and-hold jumping game made by an independent developer ("we", "us"). This policy explains what happens to information on your device when you play Block Hop, what our advertising partner collects, and what choices you have. It applies to Block Hop on iOS and Android.
The short version: Block Hop has no accounts, no sign-up, and no server of its own. Your gameplay stats live only on your device. The one thing that does collect data on our behalf is Google's advertising SDK, which shows the ads that keep Block Hop free.
Block Hop doesn't ask for your name, email, phone number, photos, contacts, or location, and there's nothing to sign up for. There's no chat, no user-generated content, and no online leaderboard, so there's no personal information for us to collect in the first place.
To remember your progress between sessions, Block Hop saves a small profile in your device's local app storage (never sent anywhere by us):
| Stored value | What it is |
|---|---|
| Best score | Your highest score across all runs |
| Best combo | Your longest streak of perfect landings |
| Total runs / lifetime perfects | Running counts used to unlock characters |
| Days played | Count of distinct calendar days you've opened the app |
| Selected character, sound & vibration settings | Your preferences, remembered for next time |
None of this identifies you personally, and it never leaves your device through anything we built.
Block Hop requests very little from your device:
Block Hop never requests microphone access, never records audio, and has no feature that would use your microphone.
The gameplay profile described above is used for exactly one thing: showing you your own progress (best score, unlocked characters, streaks) the next time you open the app. We don't use it for anything else, because we don't have access to it — it stays in your device's local storage.
Block Hop uses Google AdMob (part of Google's advertising services) to show ads, which is how Block Hop stays free with no in-app purchases. When an ad loads, Google's SDK may collect information such as:
We don't receive or store this information ourselves — it's collected and processed by Google under its own privacy terms:
Block Hop shows two kinds of ads, both served by AdMob:
You have control over ad personalization:
Your gameplay profile stays on your device for as long as Block Hop is installed. Uninstalling the app, or clearing its storage/data from your device settings, deletes it completely — we have no copy to retain, because we never had one.
Block Hop is a general-audience game and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because Block Hop itself collects no personal information from anyone, this is largely academic — but if you believe a child has provided us information in a way this policy hasn't anticipated, contact us and we'll address it.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over personal information relating to you — for example, under the GDPR (EEA/UK) or the CCPA (California). Since we don't collect or hold any personal information ourselves, there's nothing in our systems to access, correct, or delete. Requests about data collected by Google's advertising SDK should go to Google directly via the links in Third-party services. We don't sell personal information, and we never have.
Your gameplay profile is stored using your device's standard app-sandboxed local storage, protected by your device's own operating system security. We don't operate any server that stores your data, which means there's no database of ours to be breached.
Block Hop is available worldwide. Because Block Hop stores your gameplay data only on your own device, that data doesn't cross borders through anything we built. Ad-related data processed by Google may be transferred and processed in accordance with Google's own privacy policy, linked above.
If this policy changes — for example, if we add a new feature that collects information — we'll update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Continuing to use Block Hop after an update means you accept the revised policy.
